The Spirit Bear
One of the most endangered animals in the world roaming British Columbia, was found dead by the side of the road in Terrace, Bc. The saddest part is, they are only about 200 known to be alive today. The white Kermodes are rarely found or photograph and are believed to roam the northern part of the black bears subspecies’ range. British Columbia is asking for help to identify who killed this bear. ![]()
Spirit bears have become British Columbia official Mammal. The need to protect this bear is very high. Of Course like other animals habitat, the spirit bears is getting smaller. Most of this bears domain has been developed and with that, poachers increase.
Our government need to step in and act quickly to protect the entire population and the environment for this amazing white bear. The Kermode bear is known to live in an area called the Green watershed. This area began it’s logging process last fall.
The black kermode bear that produces these amazing bears should be protected and ensure habitat. Action needs to be taken now.
The beauty and grace of these bear truly leaves me in awe. B.C. has truly been blessed with these creatures.
