Or should I say don’t take anything personally.
What ever happens around you, stop thinking it is about you. If you and I where walking down the street and we meet up with a person and I say,”Hey he is weird,” with out knowing him, then it’s about me not him.Then perhaps I believe I am weird. Maybe I think to my self,”How do they know I am weird, can everyone see how weird I am?” Because I agree with what is said, that makes you trapped. If I am trapped, it is because I made an assumption that everything is about “me.”
We have been taught as a young child that everything is about Me, me and always me! But really, nothing other people do is because of me. It is because of them, people live in there own dreams, in their own mind. They are in a completely different world from the one I live in. When I assume they know what is in my world and I try to impose my world on them. I have it all wrong.
When I take this attitude ( it is not about me), I don’t need to place trust in what others say, I will not be hurt by careless words or action of others. I can ask for what I need and I can follow my heart and have peace in my heart and happiness.
There is a enormously amount of freedom that comes to me when I do not take it personal.
Think about what I have said and make these ideas yours. You deserve to know this truth and you deserve to live life fully.
